Performance/Retention measures personality traits such as; reliability, dependability, motivation, conscientiousness, commitment, impulsiveness, and responsibility. It also shows the likelihood that the applicant will remain on the job for at least 3 months. (Note: this assessment is only validated for hourly blue-collar type jobs.)

The applicant will answer a series of 97 true/false and multiple choice questions. The approximate completion time is 15 minutes.

The assessment is based on the content shown below. If these factors are critical for a job, then the Performance/Retention assessment should be completed by the applicant.

Reliability/Rule-Following
  • Follow company policies exactly
  • Report a co-worker who has violated an important rule
  • Maintain order and organization in one’s work
  • Perform in the expected or agreed upon way
  • Follow through on commitments
Attendance
  • Return from meals/breaks in the allotted time
  • Accept necessary schedule changes
  • Willingly work overtime when needed
  • Change vacation plans, if necessary, to stay at work
  • Offer to stay late when work is very busy
  Work Ethic
  • Clean up work area before leaving
  • Keep working, even when co-workers are not working
  • Take initiative to find another task when finished with regular work
  • Exert sustained effort for long periods of time
  • Start work quickly; stay busy and active; show urgency in getting work done
  • Take corrective action after making a mistake
