There are 10 Assessments that are organized into 4 i-Match categories. Each assessment serves as a highly structured filter that narrows the labor pool thereby permitting the organization to focus in on only those applicants with the "Greatest Potential" for job success. Any combination of the assessments can be used to evaluate a job or individual. If you're not sure which assessments are best for you, look here. 1. Personal Characteristics category is designed to predict the applicant's natural "behavioral" tendencies, work habits and interpersonal style. These assessments are not involved in the Job Analysis process. Performance & Retention predicts success in entry-level positions and identifies individuals who are reliable, dependable, motivated and conscientious. In addition, it predicts the likelihood that an individual will stay on the job for at least 3 months. This assessment is geared towards hourly and blue collar positions.2. Cultural Characteristics category is designed to determine how well an applicant will FIT into or enjoy a particular work environment or organization. Work Culture assessment is designed to predict organizational commitment as opposed to superior job performance. This assessment deals with preferences, values, beliefs, and the desired work environment.3. Worker Characteristics category is designed to identify the level of "Knowledge-Skills-Abilities" (KSAs) that are required by the job and possessed by the applicant. Knowledge assessment is designed to identify the level of knowledge in work-related areas. Ratings will be completed for 33 knowledge areas including the areas of business & management, manufacturing & production, engineering & technology, mathematics & science, health services, education & training, arts & humanities, law & public safety and communications.4. Job Characteristics is designed to identify the "Work Environment, Work Activities and Work Styles" that are required by the job and possessed by the applicant. Work Activities assessment is designed to identify the similar actions that are performed together in many different jobs. Ratings will be completed for 41 work activities including the areas of information input, mental process, work output and interacting with others. |
